The IndiGo Airlines has officially begun incoming cargo operations via the passenger terminal of Donyi Polo Airport.
The inbound cargo services started during the Friday, while the outbound operations would begin shortly from Hollongi Airport, near here, Chief Minister Pema Khandu wrote on X.
The CM hailed the development as a major milestone in the state’s connectivity and economic growth journey. The inbound cargo services would enable faster delivery of essential goods, parcels and business consignments directly to Itanagar, he said.
“It would benefit the local traders and entrepreneurs with quicker, cost-effective logistics and also improve access to medical supplies, enhancing emergency healthcare response,” he said, adding the facility would be convenient for air passengers who can now receive shipments during their travel.
